Chief Minister Punjab, Maryam Nawaz, chaired the 29th Provincial Cabinet meeting where a historic financial assistance and relief package for flood victims was approved. The cabinet praised the largest-ever rescue and relief operation in Punjab’s history and formally decided to start disbursement of relief funds from October 17, 2025. Families of the deceased, injured, farmers, and those whose houses or livestock were damaged will receive financial support. Additionally, tax relief and agricultural compensation were announced to ease the hardships of affected people. This decision reflects the government’s strong commitment to rebuilding lives and communities impacted by the floods.

How to Apply for Financial Assistance For Flood Victims?
- Affected individuals do not need to file separate applications; the Punjab Government will directly identify and register flood victims through official surveys.
- Payments will begin from October 17, 2025 through designated banks and government channels.
- Beneficiaries must keep their CNICs and relevant documents ready for verification at the time of payment.
