Job Responsibilities:
- Patrol assigned jurisdiction to ensure the protection of wildlife species from poaching and damage due to fire, hunters, etc.
- Participate in wildlife conservation efforts such as habitat improvement, artificial feeding, and development of water points.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of wildlife in the designated area.
- Enforce relevant laws, policies, and rules related to wildlife protection.
- Prevent wildlife offenses, report activities, and initiate legal actions under applicable laws.
- Assist in the prosecution of wildlife-related offenses.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Age: 18-25 years
- Gender: Male and Female
- Qualification: Higher Secondary School Certificate (F.Sc. Pre-medical or equivalent).
- Experience: No prior experience required.
- Physical Requirements:
- Male: Height 5’7″, Chest 34″-30″, able to run 1000 meters in 7 minutes.
- Female: Height 5’2″, able to run 1000 meters in 10 minutes.
Recruitment Method:
- Initial recruitment will be as per the Punjab Forestry and Wildlife (Wildlife Executive) Service Rules, 1978 (as amended in 2024).
