Positions Details

Chairman and Dean – Shaikh Zayed Postgraduate Medical Institute, Lahore

Age Limit

  • Not more than 60 years.

Required Qualifications

  • MBBS or equivalent qualification with higher postgraduate qualification, such as:
    • PhD (for Basic Sciences), or
    • FCPS / MRCP / FRCS / MD / MS / American Board or equivalent (for Clinical Sciences),
    • Qualification must be recognized by Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PMDC).
  • Must be an eminent person of scientific and medical repute.
  • Preferred Qualification:
    • Master’s Degree or Postgraduate Higher Diploma in:
      • Public Health, or
      • MHPE, or
      • Health Services Administration, or
      • Medical Sciences, or equivalent,
    • Recognized by HEC.

Research & Publications

  • Minimum 15 publications in peer-reviewed journals.
  • At least 3 publications in international journals recognized by HEC/PMDC.

Experience Requirements

  • At least 05 years’ experience as Professor in the medical profession on a regular basis.
  • Minimum 03 years’ experience in hospital administration and management at a senior level, preferably as Head of a Medical Institution.

Tenure

  • Initial appointment for three (03) years on a contract basis.
  • Extendable for further periods, not exceeding three years at a time, subject to Federal Government approval.

Emoluments

  • Salary equivalent to initial stage of BPS-22, along with applicable fringe benefits.
