Educational Background
- Minimum: Bachelor’s (4-year) in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Software Engineering or equivalent (16 years HEC-verified education).
- Preferred: Master’s degree in a related field.
- Important: Degrees must be attested by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) or relevant regulatory bodies and presented at the time of interview.
Professional Experience
- Required: Minimum 7–10 years of proven experience as a Senior Data Scientist.
- Preferred certification: IBM Deep Learning Certification (preferred, not mandatory).
Skills & Competencies
- Extensive experience working with large-scale, complex datasets to develop/optimize machine learning, predictive, forecasting, and optimization models.
- Expert in data querying (SQL, Oracle) and scripting languages (Python, R).
- Proficient with statistical/mathematical tools (R, SAS, Stata, Matlab, etc.).
- Strong background in both supervised (linear/logistic regression, time-series, GLMs, decision trees, random forests, SVMs, etc.) and unsupervised (K-means, hierarchical clustering, association rules, PCA) learning methods.
- Experience in data extraction, analysis and communicating results to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to build models using machine learning, statistical modelling, probability and decision theory techniques.
- Track record of improving methodologies: developing new data sources, testing model enhancements, fine-tuning parameters.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to convey technical concepts to leadership and business teams.
- Strong business sense — understand business realities behind datasets and develop meaningful analytic solutions.
