Chief Medical Officer (CMO) – NICL Central Zone, Lahore

Minimum Qualification & Experience:
- MBBS Degree from a PMDC-recognized institution
- FCPS qualification preferred
- Minimum 05 years of post-qualification experience, including:

- 03 years of experience in tertiary healthcare will be considered an added advantage
- Must hold a valid PMDC license
Tenure:
- Appointment will be for 03 years on a retainership basis
Duty Timings & Functions
Office Timings
- 09:00 AM to 05:00 PM on all working days at NICL Lahore Office
Key Responsibilities
- Attend emergency medical cases whenever required
- Examine NICL employees and refer them to specialists or hospitals when necessary
- Visit hospitals where NICL employees or dependents are admitted to ensure proper treatment
- Scrutinize and endorse medical bills from hospitals, labs, chemists, and employees
- Conduct medical examinations of newly recruited employees
- Examine and manage chronic disease cases
- Administer medical facilities and maintain strict control over medical expenses
- Recommend improvements based on industry healthcare trends to enhance employee wellbeing and reduce costs
- Advise management on healthcare safety, preventive measures, and outbreak control
- Perform any other medical duties assigned by NICL management

- The CMO must remain available online or telephonically beyond office hours, including holidays, to handle emergencies.

- Appointment is purely on retainership basis.
- Residence in Lahore is mandatory to ensure 24/7 medical service availability.
- Either party may terminate the retainership with one month’s written notice or payment in lieu thereof.
- The CMO will not be a permanent, contractual, or contingent employee of NICL.
- Remuneration will be treated as medical/administrative expenses, subject to withholding tax (not income tax).
- Applicants must hold an MBBS degree from a PMDC-recognized institute (attested copy required).
- A valid PMDC license is mandatory.
- Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview.
- Selected candidates must submit a Declaration/Affidavit (Rs. 100 stamp paper) stating they are not blacklisted by any government or autonomous body.
- Original documents must be presented at interview; credentials may be verified at final selection.
- No TA/DA will be admissible for interviews.
- Selection will be made strictly on merit.
- Any attempt to influence the recruitment process will result in disqualification.
