Job Opportunity: Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO)
About FESCO:
Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) is a leading public utility company in the power sector, distributing electricity to over 5.4 million customers across eight districts of Punjab, including Faisalabad, Chiniot, Sargodha, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Khushab, Mianwali, and Bhakkar.
Position Overview:
FESCO is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead its financial and accounting functions. This C-level position will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer and act as the Financial Advisor, managing strategic financial operations to support FESCO’s mission of delivering reliable energy services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sound financial strategies and policies, including computerized accounting and MIS systems.
- Oversee corporate planning, budgeting, and funds management.
- Manage financial risks, debt, and compliance while coordinating with stakeholders.
- Ensure effective internal financial controls and statutory compliance for reporting and audits.
- Collaborate with NEPRA on tariff determination and other financial matters.
- Optimize funding processes and foster relationships with financial institutions.
- Drive ERP implementation and financial automation projects.
Qualifications and Experience:
Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:
- Membership of a recognized professional accounting body with at least 15 years of relevant experience in the public or private sector, particularly in entities with assets of Rs. 5 billion or more.
- A Master’s Degree in Finance or a related discipline from an HEC-recognized institution with at least 15 years of relevant experience.
Skills and Competencies:
- Expertise in financial management, strategic planning, and risk mitigation.
- Knowledge of power sector regulations and financial legislation.
- Experience in leading teams and achieving organizational goals.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems and financial automation.
Remuneration and Tenure:
- Competitive market-based salary package.
- Initial three-year contract (six-month probation), extendable based on performance.
Age Limit:
Candidates must not exceed 57 years of age as of the closing date.
