Positions Available
The Government of Pakistan has received a loan, Credit No.6243-PK, from the International Development Association (IDA) towards the cost of the Punjab Cities Program (PCP). This program is aimed at strengthening the performance of participating urban local governments in urban management and service delivery. As part of the program, PMDFC is seeking to fill the following professional position:
Position: Senior Program Officer (Environment & Social Management)
Location: Lahore
Number of Positions: 1
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Educational Qualification:
A Master’s degree (16 years of education) or higher in Environmental Engineering/Sciences from an HEC recognized university. - Experience:
- Minimum of 12 years of post-qualification professional and technical experience with increasing responsibilities in environmental analysis and social safeguards assessments.
- Proven experience in developing ESIAs, HIAs, and MMPs required under public sector environmental regulations.
- Strong expertise in preparing Social Assessment Reports (SAR), Social Management Plans (SMPs), and Resettlement & Rehabilitation Action Plans (RAPs) in compliance with environmental and social safeguards frameworks.
- Practical experience in addressing social issues and managing them in line with best practices.
- Experience working with public sector entities, donor agencies, and familiarity with government environmental regulations will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of foreign-aided projects and Local Government Systems Regulatory frameworks will be beneficial.
Age Limit: Maximum age 63 years (may be relaxed for exceptionally qualified and experienced candidates).
Compensation:
The compensation for the position is market-driven, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
