Government of Punjab under the leadership of Maryam Nawaz Sharif has launched a province-wide cleanliness initiative for Eid ul Azha 2026. Through the “CM Punjab Grand Cleaning Program on Eid ul Azha 2026 Check Details” campaign, the Punjab government aims to ensure a clean and hygienic environment during all three days of Eid. Thousands of sanitation workers, operational machines, temporary camps, waste collection centers, and dumping sites have been arranged across Punjab to facilitate citizens. The government has also appealed to the public to cooperate by properly disposing of sacrificial animal waste in eco-friendly waste bags.

- Over 40,000 operational machinery units for cleaning activities

To ensure proper waste management:
- More than 3,800 temporary collection camps established at union council level
- Around 38,158 dumping sites arranged throughout Punjab
- Additional backup operational activities organized for smooth waste disposal
Eco-Friendly Waste Management
Citizens will receive:
- More than 12 million eco-friendly waste bags free of cost
- Guidance regarding proper disposal of sacrificial waste
Disinfection and Sanitation Measures
The government has arranged:
- Spraying of over 2.1 million kilograms of lime
- More than 150,000 liters of phenyl spraying
- Sprinkling of 38,000 liters of rose-water mixed disinfectant spray
