Eligibility Criteria:
- Nationality: Unmarried male Pakistani citizens.
- Age Limit: Maximum 20 years of age as of 31st December 2026.
- Relaxation: Candidates from FATA/Gilgit-Baltistan/AJK and Balochistan are granted a 1-year upper age relaxation, making their upper age limit 21 years as of December 31, 2026.
- Educational Qualification:
- Must have passed F.Sc (Pre-Engineering) or equivalent O/A-Level (with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry) with at least 55% marks.
- O/A-Level students must provide an Equivalency Certificate from the IBCC.
- Candidates awaiting their F.Sc Part-II results who scored 60% or above in Part-I can apply by submitting a Hope Certificate verified by the head of their respective college.
- If a Hope Certificate candidate fails to secure 55% marks in the final F.Sc result, they will be disqualified at any stage of the selection process.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET) Requirements:
- Running: 1 Mile (1.6 KM) within 8 and a half (8.5) minutes.
- Push-ups: 15 repetitions within 2 minutes.
- Sit-ups: 15 repetitions within 2 minutes.
- Chin-ups: 02 repetitions within 2 minutes.

Terms and Conditions
- Selection Procedure: The selection process is strictly merit-based and will follow a sequential 4-stage phase:
- NTS Entry Test: Candidates must pass the written entry test scheduled on 9 August 2026. Testing centers will be set up at Abbottabad, Gwadar, Karachi, Lahore, Multan, Muzaffarabad (AJK), Peshawar, Quetta, Rawalpindi, and Sukkur through NTS. Candidates must score at least 50% in the NTS test to qualify.
- Medical Fitness: Shortlisted candidates will undergo a medical exam at designated military hospitals.
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Candidates must pass all the running, push-up, sit-up, and chin-up standards.
- Interview: Final selection interview for qualifying candidates.
- Ineligibility: Applications with fake, altered, or hidden details/documents will be rejected immediately. Candidates dismissed from any government service, military training center, or on moral turpitude grounds are strictly ineligible.
- Candidates holding a Diploma of Associate Engineer (DAE) in irrelevant subjects are not eligible.
- Eye checkups and visual acuity assessments will be done in front of MMD representatives. Final selection is contingent upon passing the MMD vision standards; candidates failing the visual assessment will be dropped, and their registration fees will not be returned.
- Allocation of Branches: Seats in the Deck or Engineering branches will be assigned based on the candidate’s merit and priority preference, subject to availability and MMD regulations.
- Training Certification: Selected cadets will complete 02 years of residential training at PMA. Upon successful completion, an Associate Degree in Nautical Science or Marine Engineering will be awarded by the NED University of Engineering & Technology, Karachi. The training certificates are fully recognized by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and local authorities.
- No TA/DA will be admissible for any stage of the testing, medical verification, or interview process.
