Position: Director (Contractual)

The University of Karachi invites applications for the position of Director (Contractual) at the Sheikh Zayed Islamic Centre (SZIC).
Eligibility Criteria
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Islamic Studies or Arabic Language
Age Limit:
- Maximum 55 years (Relaxable by 2 years with approval from the competent authority upon the recommendation of the Selection Board).
Experience:
- Teaching/Research:
- 15 years of experience in a teaching or research capacity at an HEC-recognized university or postgraduate institution.
- Alternatively, professional experience in a relevant field at a national or international organization.
- Publications:
- 15 research publications in HEC-recognized journals, including at least 5 within the last 6 years.
- Administrative Role:
- 6 years of administrative experience in an HEC-recognized institution.

Terms & Conditions
- Appointment will be made for a tenure of three (03) years.
- If the selected candidate does not belong to SZIC, the appointment will be on a contractual basis.
- On completion of the tenure, the appointee must submit a performance report to the Secretary (Federal Education and Professional Training), Vice Chancellor, and Executive Director, HEC.
- Directors who have served one tenure may reapply.
- Foreign degree holders must provide an equivalence certificate from HEC.
- In-service candidates must apply through the proper channel and provide a No Objection Certificate from their department/institution.
- Incomplete applications or those received after the deadline will not be entertained.
