Job Opportunity: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) – Pakistan Steel Mills (PSM)
Eligibility Criteria:
- Age: Must not be more than 58 years.
- Education:
- A graduate degree in engineering (preferably Metallurgical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering).
- A Master’s degree in Business Administration (Finance), Economics, Development Economics, Finance, or equivalent, from an HEC-recognized university.
- Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in large-scale manufacturing, specifically in integrated steel plant governance.
- Proven experience in senior management roles (CEO/MD or equivalent).
- In-depth understanding of steel manufacturing processes, product structure, industry trends, and technological developments.
- Strong administrative and financial management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement decisions and directions from the Board of Directors (BOD).
- Manage administrative affairs, human resources, litigations, and other operational issues.
- Coordinate with Federal and Provincial Government departments.
- Ensure efficient use of resources, revenues, and compliance with regulatory obligations.
- Safeguard the assets of PSM through regular stock-taking.
- Provide regular updates to the BOD regarding liabilities, litigation, and claims.
- Present strategies and visions for the future development of PSM.
Appointment Conditions:
- The CEO will be appointed for a 2-year contract, terminable with a 30-day notice.
- The appointment is governed by the State Owned Enterprises (Governance and Operations) Act, 2023, and the C-Level Appointment Guidelines, 2024.
- The CEO will be accountable to the BOD and the Government.
- The candidate must submit the necessary disclosures as per legal requirements.
Compensation:
- The salary is negotiable based on qualifications and experience.
