Mandate / Charter of Duties
- Review unresolved grievances forwarded by District-Level IGRC regarding social and resettlement issues
- Resolve cases preferably on the first hearing day or within one month
- Conduct field investigations for complex cases
- Review grievances of indirectly affected persons during project implementation
- Ensure decisions align with RAP policy framework, entitlements, and safeguard documents like EMAP
- Decisions to be made through consensus or 2/3 majority vote
Environmental Grievances Responsibilities:
- Review merit of complaints
- Evaluate cases under relevant laws and EMAP guidelines
- Conduct field investigations if required
- Recommend mitigation measures for environmental protection
- Avoid cases already pending in court
- Ensure minimum quorum of 5 members in IGRC meetings
- Perform any additional tasks assigned by GM/PD Dasu HPP or senior officers
