Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must be AJK National Medical Graduates and fulfill the requirements of the relevant specialty.

Mandatory Specialty Requirements

FCPS Cardiology and Nephrology

Candidates must have completed:

  • Two years of General Medicine Training.

FCPS Neurosurgery, Pulmonology and Neurology

Candidates must have completed:

  • Two years of General Surgery Training.

Critical Care Management (CCM)

Applicants must have:

  • FCPS Part-II cleared in Anesthesia, Pulmonology, Medicine, Nephrology, or General Surgery.

Accident & Emergency

Applicants must possess:

  • Part-I qualification in General Medicine or General Surgery.

Required Documents

Applicants must submit attested photocopies of the following:

  1. Valid CNIC (both sides)
  2. Domicile Certificate
  3. MBBS Degree
  4. Detailed Marks Certificates of all Professional Examinations showing:
    • Marks Obtained
    • Total Marks
    • Number of Attempts
  5. House Job Certificates
  6. Valid PM&DC Registration Certificate
  7. CPSP/University Part-I Result Card
  8. Government/Public Sector Experience Certificates duly signed by DHO/MS (Primary and Secondary Level only)
  9. Appointment Orders/Notifications and Experience Certificates
  10. University Distinction Certificates (if any)
  11. Published Research Papers (maximum five) in HEC/PM&DC approved journals
  12. PM&DC Equivalence Examination Result Card (for foreign graduates)

Terms and Conditions

Important Instructions

  1. Training opportunities are restricted to AJK State Subject holders only.
  2. Candidates must clearly mention specialty and institution preferences in the application.
  3. Once selected, specialty and institution choices cannot be changed.
  4. If choices are not specified, allocation will be made by the Training Committee.
  5. All seats will be filled strictly on merit.
  6. Applicants must clearly mention total marks, obtained marks, percentages, and examination attempts.
  7. Marks of Islamic Studies and Pakistan Studies will be included in percentage calculations if part of MBBS.
  8. Adhoc and contract employees of the Department of Health may apply through proper channel with forwarding letter from DHO/MS/Commandant.
  9. Any prerequisite qualification not specifically mentioned will be determined according to CPSP regulations.
  10. Forgery, tampering, or submission of fake documents will result in immediate disqualification and legal action.
  11. Candidates already undergoing paid postgraduate training in AJK hospitals are not eligible.
  12. Adhoc and contract employees must provide a recommendation letter or NOC confirming resignation upon selection.
  13. Permanent government employees are not eligible unless granted Extraordinary Leave (EOL) before applying.
  14. The number of training slots may be increased or decreased without prior notice.
  15. Merit lists will remain valid for 30 days after CPSP closing date.
  16. Candidates selected twice consecutively for postgraduate training but refusing to join will not be eligible for the next two induction cycles.

Affidavit Requirement

Selected trainees must submit an affidavit stating that:

  • They will comply with hospital rules and regulations.
  • They will not participate in political or anti-state activities.
  • They will not engage in protests or activities disrupting institutional operations.

The affidavit must:

  • Be notarized or duly attested.
  • Clearly mention the date of issuance.
  • Remain valid throughout the training period.

Failure to comply may result in disciplinary action including immediate termination.

Surety Bond Requirement

For Extraordinary Leave (EOL) Cases

  • A surety bond of PKR 1.5 Million must be submitted.
  • Applicable to candidates selected through PSC and granted EOL.
  • Subject to serving the Department of Health after completion of training.

Mandatory Post-Training Service Bond

  • All selected candidates must submit a mandatory surety bond before commencement of training.
  • Candidates must serve the Department of Health for five years after completion of training.
  • Failure to fulfill this service obligation will require repayment of the entire stipend received during the training period.
